Description

An Islay distillery that developed a cult status following its closure by Distillery Company in 1983. Originally only providing fillings for blends, its single had become hugely sought-after by the turn of the 21st century, so much so in fact that it was re-opened again by Diageo in 2024.

Initially, you'll notice a massively fresh salt and sea-air tang, which warms up to a round, soft damp leather character with melting sugar tones.
Palate
The mouthfeel is full and distinctly oceanic, with salty, dry flavors and cedar wood tones, along with an ashy suggestion.

The finish is long and lingering, featuring soft calves leather, grapes, and lemon zest.
