Nose
Complex and bracing with coastal brine, seaweed, smoky bacon, tarry rope, lemon zest, antique leather, ripe pear, dried apricot, blackcurrant, nutmeg, fresh thyme, and aged oak. Subtle mineral and herbal notes emerge with water.
Palate
Full-bodied and intense with a wave of peat smoke, salted almond, citrus oil, soot, crushed black pepper, luscious honey, dark chocolate, toasted almond, briny sea spray, oat cakes, digestive biscuits, lemon juice, apples, pears, orange peels, nectarine, and pepperiness. Oily and ashy textures are present.
Finish
Exceptionally long, dry, and smoky. Lingering peat embers, sea salt, warming spice, iodine, vanilla frosting, leather, and lemon tarts. Very coastal with salty fish and meats, smoked fruits, plenty of brine, and smokiness.
