- Nose
- Rich amber color and aroma of butterscotch, warm heather, orange peel and smoky charcoal. Cocoa powder, barley malt, green apple, red raspberry, ancient dried rose petals, new cut cedar. Dried apricot and orange rind, followed by a hint of baked pear, roasted almond and a touch of molasses.
- Palate
- Creme brulee, Madagascan vanilla and dark chocolate, fruitcake, honey and roasted nuts. Creamy with vanilla, chocolate, honey, nutmeg and cloves. Scrumptious, with sherry crossing with ex-bourbon cask aging, fruity, floral and upbeat. Richer stone fruit and honeyed caramel, with an undercurrent of cinnamon and clove, leather and cedar.
- Finish
- Restrained yet elegant. Warm with coffee and creamy smoke. Very long with warming, sherry coloration. Long and measured, carrying echoes of warm spice, toasted oak and a lingering mineral dryness.
