Description

Puni Arte Italian Malt Whisky No. 1 is the first release in Puni's limited ARTE series, distilled from a combination of barley, wheat, and rye. It was aged for approximately 6 years and 9 months in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and ex-peated Scotch casks from Islay. This non-chill filtered whisky was bottled at 43% ABV, with a total outturn of 3,900 bottles.

Sweet, gentle smoke with soft nougat, apple, pineapple, lemon cream, almonds, elderflower, and a hint of turf.
Palate
Salty with notes of salted caramel, red apple, chilli peppers, and a light puff of peat smoke. Dried fruit (pine nuts, almonds), ripe fruit (peach, pineapple, apple), creamy brisée cake, and lemon zest. Spices, medicinal notes, and seasoned wood.
Finish
Long, savoury with dried fruit, lemon, ash, spices, and a slightly smoky character.
