Nose
Rich medley of fruits, from sweet mango to fleshy ripe plums to dark berry fruits. Oak adds notes of toasted wood, vanilla, brown sugar, roasted coffee beans, and subtle leather. Pot still spices build, along with cassis, raspberries, pineapples, kiwi, tangerines, fragrant mangosteen, mint, cinnamon, and gingerbread. [1, 5]
Palate
Initial notes of cinnamon spice and soft wood tannins, exotic fruits, and dark berries. Rich, mouth-coating texture with sweet vanilla and treacle toffee over toasted oak. Ginger, eucalyptus, sweet cherries, stewed plums, raisins, blood orange, cedar wood, blackberries, and a mint/toffee combo. [1, 5]
Finish
Lingering ripe fruits and pot still spices. Long, with hints of Moscovado sugar, ripe fruits, and a drop of cough syrup. Brown sugar and cinnamon dusted pastry cases, filled with fruit, with gentle aniseed spiciness. [1, 5]
