Description
Redbreast is an Irish single pot still whiskey, produced at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork, Ireland. The brand, named after a robin by one of its chairmen, has a history dating back to the early 1900s. This 12 Year Old Cask Strength expression is crafted from a marriage of malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills, and matured for 12 years in a combination of Bourbon seasoned American Oak barrels and Oloroso Sherry seasoned Spanish oak butts. It is bottled at cask strength without chill filtration, preserving its natural oils and flavors. [cite: Scotch Whisky Auctions, 2, 5, 9, 19, 20, 21, 29]
