Description

A 16-year-old single cask expression from Redbreast, distilled at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork. Bonded on 10 December 2004, it was matured in an Oloroso sherry single cask (cask number 37560) and bottled at a natural cask strength of 57% ABV exclusively for the Friends of Midleton Distillery group.

Nose
Vibrant mix of spices with black peppercorn, nutmeg and cinnamon at the fore along with delicate notes of freshly crushed mint, aromas of dark berry fruits with mild nutty undertones begin to appear.
Palate
Notes of dark chocolate and liquorice evolve over time revealing wonderfully complex and intricate flavours accompanied by dried fruit notes of raisin and fig along with walnut and toasted almond.
Finish
Lasting finish with the fruity oils slow to slowly fade, leaving the oak and pot still spices to linger until the very end.
