Description

Somerset based Retribution Distilling specialise in many different spirits, but the one goal for all their releases is centred on creating quality and flavour. Through trial and error they have developed products that are shaped by the environments and people that make them. This is a 3 Year Old Single Malt English Whisky from Cask Number W003, matured in a Bourbon Cask and bottled at 63.3% ABV. This release consists of 151 bottles, with this being bottle number 94. The distillery focuses on single-cask releases and is a 'grain to glass' operation in Frome, Somerset.

Nose
Lemon Puff biscuits, a balance of sweet malty biscuit, and citrus flavours. Some delicate floral notes alongside summer grasses. A drop of water brings crisp green apple, vanilla cream, and the citrus turns more orange blossom.
Palate
Sweet, malty, with some peppery warmth on first sip. Clean and fruity with tangy sherbet reminiscent of a Sherbet Orange sweets. With water, ripe barley leads a pleasant, light, oily mouthfeel, with a soft orange blossom honey sweetness.
Finish
Medium length, soft malt, with that signature orange citrus lingering.
