Description

An iconic Lowland malt whisky distillery that is currently owned and operated by Ian Macleod Distillers. It developed a cult status among connoisseurs following the unpopular decision by United Distillers to close it in 1993, laying dormant for over three decades before resuming production in 2023. A Scottish retailer based in the Royal Deeside area that traces its history back to 1926. The company George Strachan Ltd. bottled this 34-year-old Rosebank in the early 1970s, likely distilled in the late 1930s or early 1940s. This bottling was imported for the Italian market.
