Description

Connoisseurs Choice is one of the most easily recognised ranges from the independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail. This range was launched by George Urquhart - one of the first of four generations of the family to build Gordon & MacPhail - back in the 1960s; a period where most malts were used in blends so this was quite an unusual move for the company. This single malt Scotch whisky was distilled in 1989 at the Rosebank distillery in Scotland and bottled in 1999 by Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range. Rosebank is an iconic Lowland malt whisky distillery that was mothballed in 1993, just 4 years after this spirit was left to mature. [Scotch Whisky Auctions, 3, 8, 12]
