Description

From the Diageo Rare Malts Selection, a very nice collectable bottle from closed Rosebank distillery. Bottled at natural cask strength this Limited Edition 20 years old whisky was distilled in 1981. Bottled in May 2002.

Nose
Floral (white flowers, meadow-flower, daisies), citrus (lemon, orange, zest, marmalade), honey, vanilla, malt, biscuits, and a hint of mint and eucalyptus. Some notes of minerality and a whisper of smoke.
Palate
Intensely malty and creamy with vanilla, lemon (peel, curd, soda), and orchard fruits. Notes of menthol, subtle pineapple, and a touch of peat. Hints of charred oak, gentle oak spice, and a slight chilli pepper heat.
Finish
Long, clean, and warming with lingering notes of citrus oils, soft florals, and delicate oak tannins. Herbal, spicy, and grassy notes with a dry, mineral, and slightly salty character.
