Nose
Inviting aromas of vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch, layered with hints of toasted oak, nutmeg, and faint orange zest. Other notes include brown sugar, pears, cardamom, and a light floral-grassy scent.
Palate
A rich, full-bodied mouthfeel with brown sugar, warm baking spices, and delicate oak tannins, balanced with subtle notes of dried fruit and honey. Also, classic bourbon caramel sweetness, cherry flavors, hints of baking spice and maple, and touches of pepper and oak. Some detect corn husk, vanilla, and grassiness.
Finish
Lingering and elegant, with gentle spice and toasted oak fading slowly into a soft, warming sweetness. A dry, spicy, woody finish with a suggestion of citrus. Medium long with oak wood and spice, sometimes with lingering mint.
