Description

The Brackla distillery was bestowed its regal prefix in 1835 by King William IV and, almost 200 years later, Master of Malt got their hands on a big old refill butt of its royally delicious single malt. Distilled in 2011, this single malt matured for 11 years, before a total of 682 bottles were drawn from the cask in 2022.

Nose
Gorgeously rich, sweet malt, chocolate caramel Digestive biscuits, honeyed almonds, and cherry Madeira cake. More cooked stone fruits join soft chocolate ice cream.
Palate
It makes a royal entrance with huge helpings of juicy oak and sweet, roasted barley. Maple syrup, praline and pepper tangle while vanilla cream and poached plums joined by creamy notes of Caramac.
Finish
Malt and spice take hold, with tickles of nutmeg and crystalised ginger, slightly burnt biscuits, chocolate toffees, and robust oak.
