This Yamazakura Asaka Single Malt 2022 Edition is a brand new release from the Asaka Distillery, produced by Sasanokawa Shuzo. It is a blend of carefully selected 1st fill bourbon barrel non-peated and 50ppm peated malts, resulting in a gentle, mellow, and rich expression. It offers a light citrus acidity unique to Asaka, a refreshing lemongrass-like aroma with a hint of peat, and a balance of barrel-derived sweetness and malt flavor.
