Description

Scallywag is the latest in a long line of Douglas Laing's fox terriers. This cheeky little rascal (Scallywag) with his one remaining front tooth is as lively and full of character as they come. Named after him, this limited edition release is a Blended Malt Scotch Whisky crafted exclusively from Speyside including single malts distilled at Macallan, Mortlach and Glenrothes distilleries. The colour is rich and deep - extracted from the many years this whisky has spent in sherry butts. It carries a spiced character on the nose alongside vanilla and cocoa. On the palate, detect a rich, dark fruitiness with a hint of coffee and chocolate fused with cinnamon. The finish displays a burst of ginger mingled with mocha and toasted oak. With a pedigree like this, Scallywag is bottled at high strength and is naturally offered without chill-filtration, allowing the natural character of the spirit to shine through.
