Description

A limited-edition and rare Scottish Leader release, crafted by Master Blender Ian MacMillan from a blend of Scottish malt and grain whiskies, each aged for a minimum of 30 years. It was bottled when the brand was still owned by Burn Stewart Distillers (prior to 2010) for the Taiwanese market. Presented in a crystal decanter with its original presentation case and glass stopper, this Supreme Blended whisky comes as a gift set with glasses.

Nose: Whiskey has a very complex flavor with hints of peat and smoke.
Palate: Whiskey with a soft, well-balanced, full-bodied taste with a hint of honey. In the Scottish Leader whiskey present feature of this "Scotch" -privkus smoked and smoke, and has its own distinguishing feature - a light salty tinge "island" malt whiskey.
Finish: Long, slightly sweet aftertaste.

A light salty tinge gives that sweetness another edge, while the finish is described as long and slightly sweet. I like this balance more than a purely sweet direction. The nose is called complex, though the listed details stay fairly focused on peat and smoke. The 30-year age is not what makes this appealing.
