Starts with fruity notes (grapes, red fruits, apricot) and heavy smoke, hints of Muscat, smoked crème brûlée, straw, marram grass, smoked cheese, tarry notes, cigarette ashes, smoked bacon, medicinal notes, fisherman's rope, and hessian.
Palate
Sweet and smoky, with warm ashes, grassy smoke, brine, black pepper, aniseed, candied sweetness (brown sugar), light iodine, seaweed, tar, diesel, and oak.
Finish
Long, fruity (grapes), smoky, creamy, tarry, spicy, with sweet herbs, and a slightly fragrant, Muscat-like edge.
