Description
Sheep Dip is a blended malt Scotch whisky, originally bottled by M.J. Dowdeswell & Co. Ltd. in the 1970s, with this particular 8-year-old expression being a 1980s bottling. It is made from a blend of 16 single malts from Scotland's four major whisky regions (Lowland, Highland, Speyside, and Islay), aged for at least eight years. The name is inspired by the traditional practice of farmers hiding homemade whisky in barrels marked 'Sheep Dip' to avoid taxes.
