El Jefe is a blend of 2 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon and 2 year old Kentucky Straight Rye, finished for 1 year and 3 months in ex-reposado mezcal barrels. This unique blend highlights the dark, rich oak of aged whiskey and the bright vanilla and citrus notes of mezcal, with a hint of smoke. Shortbarrel aims to push the boundaries of finished whiskey with high standards and great barrels.
