Description

The Legendary Silkie Irish Whiskey is a blended Irish whiskey from Sliabh Liag Distillers, located in County Donegal, Ireland. Inspired by the mythical shape-shifting Silkie seals of the Donegal coast, this whiskey is a blend of double and triple distilled single malts, soft grain whiskey, and a hint of peated malt. It is bottled at 40% ABV and is non-chill filtered, offering a rich character and a signature softness.

Nose
Fresh with gentle malt, green apples, and honey, opening to a more honeyed butteriness. Hints of shortbread biscuits, with some creamy, salted butter, honeydew melon, and brown sugar.
Palate
Soft and smooth with a buttery mouthfeel. Notes of honeyed gingerbread, orange zest, brioche, butterscotch, and digestive biscuits. Hints of stem ginger, white sugar, apple, pear, and a very light dusting of smoke.
Finish
Warming and elegant, with a sublimely gentle and delicate finish, and the slightest hint of peat.
