Description

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society Clementine Confit 10 Year Old Blended Malt is a small batch expression matured in a combination of ex-bourbon hogsheads and toasted oak barriques. The custom casks were sourced from Seguin Moreau cooperage in France, utilizing new American oak and new Caucasian oak from east of the Black Sea. This is part of the 'Heresy series' of blended malts from SMWS.

A wonderful bouquet of sweet and fruity aromas, plum jam, banana bread, Amarena cherries coated in dark chocolate, creamed coconut, refreshing mango cinnamon ice cream, lactoney coconut, desiccated coconut. With water, German Aachener Printen, Belgian speculoos, and British ginger bread.
Palate
Mouth-coating like a star anise meringue with mango coulis and fresh raspberries, creamy, spicy, like an orange vineyard meringue, thick like coconut butter. With water, candied orange sticks and candied clementine confit with Moroccan spices.
