SMWS Spanish Splendour 10 Year Old, Oloroso Sherry & Bourbon Hogsheads Cask, Batch No. 26, 2013, Scotch Malt Whisky Society, 50%

Spanish Splendour is part of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society's non-standard 'Heresy' series of small-batch bottlings. This 10-year-old single malt, hailing from the Scottish Highlands, was distilled on September 10, 2013. It displays a wonderfully fruity Highland distillate matured through the lens of oloroso sherry casks, in both Spanish and American oak, alongside refill bourbon hogsheads. The whisky was created by combining seven casks distilled on the same day, resulting in a full and decadent flavor.
