Description

This latest small batch expression draws from a complex selection of casks, including whiskies from Speyside & the Highlands. It was matured in Oloroso & Pedro Ximenez sherry casks coopered from both Spanish & American oak, with an element of bourbon cask maturation. The combination reveals a rich dram, with sweet, nutty & spicy qualities, bottled at 50% ABV for optimal balance.

Nose
Freshly baked apple pie with cinnamon and nutmeg, demerara coated walnuts and macadamias in a spicy fruitcake mix, singed orange skin, marmalade and black cherries.
Palate
Rich spice, marzipan and almonds merged with dark chocolate, raisins and liquorice, hazelnut liqueur in hot cocoa. With water, sherry infused fruit, oxidised apples and pears with rhubarb crumble and sultanas.
Finish
Chocolate truffles and praline gathered around gingerbread, pink grapefruit and cloves.
