- Nose
- Restrained initially, it needs some time to open up but then you'll get a nice bittersweet sherry nose. Cooked fruits and sweetness all over with orange, raisin, pear, cranberry, strawberry and grilled pineapple. Then bubble gum with its chemical sweetness, cream sherry, dark chocolate, cereal, sultana, caramel popcorn and creme brulee. Further on vanilla, tea, bread, hazelnut, salted peanut, sour cream, soy sauce and polish.
- Palate
- A true dry sherry bomb, unfortunately taking away some intensity on the sweet aspect here. We have apple, orange peel, raisin, pear, banana and apricot with chocolate sauce, straciatella ice cream, marzipan, caramel, jaffa cake and sultana. Then a little herbal and nutty side with vanilla, anise, chili, hazelnut, mint and oak. Gets more woody and tannic when adding water, so be careful.
- Finish
- Lingers for some time. Drying, with cereal, hazelnut and dark chocolate.
