Description

Signatory was founded by Andrew Symington in 1988. After discovering single cask single malt whisky while managing Prestonfield House Hotel, Andrew bought his first cask, a Glenlivet 1968, and is now one of the largest independent bottlers in Scotland. Nose
Intense dried fruits, rich dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and warming spices with hints of polished oak and old leather. Orange zest, raisin loaf, dark honey, orange marmalade, cocoa powder, clove, walnut whips, and sticky dried fruits.
Palate
Full-bodied with concentrated layers of Christmas cake, dark cherries, toasted oak, and nutmeg. Rich sherry sweetness, fig jam, treacle toffee, malted biscuit, clove-spiked chocolate, roasted hazelnut, candied citrus peel, dark fruit, and spices.
Finish
Long and warming with persistent dried fruits, dark chocolate, and subtle oak spices that slowly fade, leaving a pleasant lingering warmth. Sherry-soaked fruitcake, mellow oak tannin, and a final flourish of vanilla-malt sweetness.
