This highly sherried 21 year old single malt Scotch whisky was produced at the Speyside distillery in 1996 and bottled for Douglas Laing's Old Particular in 2018. Charged from Sherry butt number 12614 at a natural strength 51.5% ABV, this is one of just 215 bottles that comes with presentation tube.

Rich with a spiced fudge character, candied ginger, chocolate raisins, a touch of tobacco balanced by sugarcane.
Palate
Mouthcoating, sweetly spiced, developing to tobacco, chocolate, dried dates, melted butter, leather, pecan pie and molasses.
Finish
Long, still sweetly spiced with hints of soft leather, pecans in maple syrup, and a hint of strawberry shines out from behind thick treacle notes.
