Description

Milroy's was founded in 1964 by John 'Jack' Milroy with help from his brother Wallace. As single malts began to emerge in the 1960s and 1970s, John was ahead of the trend. Glenfarclas and Glenfiddich were becoming widely available, alongside much-loved blended Scotch names. John made sure he had them all in stock. Before long, he had the largest selection of single malts available in London. This Speyside 1992 23 Year Old is part of Milroy's Soho Selection, distilled at Speyside Distillery and bottled in 2015.

Nose
An instant, enticing hit of tart stewed red fruits combines with roasted chestnuts and golden syrup.
Palate
The flavours eagerly develop, now with Rhubarb crumble and custard and more nutty flavours – peanut butter – being leant to the delicate Speyside spirit by the South African fortified wine cask.
Finish
Peach jam, followed by some candied orange peel and rum-soaked raisins.
