- Nose
- Fresh and vibrant aromas of green apples, pear drops, and citrus zest. Influence of fresh sherry casks imparts notes of raisins, sultanas, and a hint of vanilla. Subtle undertones of malted barley and a delicate waft of coastal sea breeze. Also notes of raspberry ripple, menthol, strawberry sauce, cola cube sweets, caramel, balsamic, chocolate pudding, gingerbread, and a very light touch of peat smoke.
- Palate
- Youthful yet rich, bursting with flavors of dried fruits like figs and dates. Sweet toffee and caramel intertwine with spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. Signature Springbank brininess is present, accompanied by a gentle touch of peat smoke. Sherry-forward with cola, roasted coffee, brown sugar, tobacco, and soft leather. Bold, peppery, and youthful with sweet yet ashy and slightly earthy feel, hint of salty and flinty minerality, reminiscent of fire pit embers. Spun sugar, Royal icing, white chocolate, lemon meringue pie, creamy toffee, butterscotch, vanilla cream, oatmeal cookies, desiccated coconut, tropical fruit (banana, mango), ripe yellow plum.
- Finish
- Medium to long, with lingering notes of sweet sherry, dark chocolate, and a slight nuttiness. Hints of oak spice and a soft, smoky undertone fade gracefully, leaving a warm and satisfying aftertaste. Slight lingering bitterness. Plenty of peppery heat and spice.
