Nose
Rich, decadent, and luxurious with green apple, apricot, peach, and dried fruits like raisin, sultana, and date. Hints of maple syrup, sticky toffee pudding, orange oil, beeswax candle, cedarwood, and a gentle, earthy, dusty undertone of smoke.
Palate
Silky, rich, and elegant with plump raisin, sugary sultana, brandy-soaked prunes, honeyed dried fig, apricot jam, dried apple, and orange zest. Notes of caramel, Dundee cake, subtle earthy peat smoke, cinnamon, mace, clove, old cigar box, treacle, and molasses.
Finish
Long and beautiful, with sweet and savoury characteristics lingering superbly. Spices and delicate smoke smoulder away, leaving a slight ashy feel. Late tannins from the cask provide a pleasant grip, along with hints of aniseed, raisin sweetness, sea spray, and warm oak spice.
