This 2022 release of Springbank 21 Year Old was matured in a combination of 55% re-charred sherry casks and 45% fresh port casks. It is a revered single malt from Campbeltown, produced by J&A Mitchell & Co. The distillery is known for its unique 2.5 times distillation process and lightly peated malt.

Notes of dark berries, fruit cake, ginger and honey, with hints of old books, leather, molasses, treacle tart, brown sugar, dirty dunnage, walnut, coffee grounds, ash, orange rind, salted caramel, and fudge.
Palate
Familiar coastal influence, soft and delicate, with salted caramel, sticky toffee pudding, cocoa gingerbread, red berry cheesecake, plums, raisins, black cherries, spiced oak, dark chocolate, golden syrup, vanilla, cappuccino, mahogany wood, maple bacon, Demerara sugar, and caramelised cooking apples.
Finish
Long and smooth, with digestive biscuit, muscovado sugar, lingering dried fruits, smoky undertones, subtle nutty sweetness, coffee/dark chocolate bitterness, buttery, creamy, and hints of cocoa powder.
