Description

Springbank 22 Years Old SMWS 27.110 Horse Harnesses and Mescal Worms 1992 is a single cask whisky from Springbank, bottled by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. The single malt was distilled on 11 December 1992 and matured for 22 years in a first-fill ex-sherry hogshead. It was bottled in 2015 at a cask strength of 52.6%. Nicknamed 'Horse Harnesses and Mescal Worms', this unusual and intriguing Springbank offers a complex nose of old books, cigar boxes, leather, smoky barbecue ribs, onion chutney and wood spices. The palate is rich, with black bun, incense smoke, embers, five-spice on roast pork, Demerara sugar, dark honey and teriyaki.
