Description

A 12-year-old single malt from Springbank, distilled in April 2000 and bottled in October 2012 as part of their 'Wood Expressions' series. This whisky was matured for six years in refill bourbon casks and then for another six years in fresh Calvados casks. It was bottled at a cask strength of 52.7% ABV, with a total outturn of 9,420 bottles. Springbank is a family-owned distillery in Campbeltown, known for producing three distinct styles of single malt, including its lightly peated flagship Springbank, which is distilled two and a half times. This release is non-chill filtered.
