Nose
Smoke and farmy peat, ashy, chocolate malt, caramel, cherry, minty, big, heavy and malty. Sea breeze with soot, brine, apricots, wet slate, grape skin tannins, lime and ginger. Peaches, apples, and a faint hint of citrus. Dunnage funk, rose, raspberry purée, old wood, toffee and cranberry juice.
Palate
Ashy, smoky and peaty. Fresh orange and red/purple juices, hard and dry pear, clean barley sugars and toothpicks. Dark earth and clay or flint notes. Plum, raisin, fig compote and pear cobbler. Sweet malted barley balanced with fresh lively fruit; apricots, lime and pineapple. Ginger, black pepper, furniture polish and ten day old ash. Smoke, caramel, banana chips, dried orchard fruit, vanilla, Honey Nut Cheerios and some oaky notes. Sweet peaches, red apple, smokiness and seaside aroma.
Finish
Savory, fruity and coastal tang with a wisp of dry smoke. Long with caramel, graham, and honey fading to spice and smoke. Hay, peaches, apples, floral notes, and a lasting impression of the sea and smokiness. Long and warming, with lingering spices and a subtle smoky aftertaste.
