- Nose
- Initial notes of refreshing herbs (oregano, lavender), marzipan, honeycomb, fizzy sweets, freshly baked donuts, orange marmalade, green apples, gorse bush, wine gums, and a mineral note. There's a noticeable peat influence, with medicinal and aniseed notes, butterscotch, toffee, and a creamy, nutty aroma. Also, malted barley, tobacco, coffee, dark chocolate, and a sweet sherry-peat character.
- Palate
- A warm butterscotch sponge with chantilly cream, treacle, orange rind, and salted pretzels, alongside a typical Springbank coastal note of sea salt. Well-balanced with a touch of peat smoke, sweet notes of icing sugar and white chocolate, tomato plant, sunflower seeds, and linseed oil. Creamy confectionery, smooth toffee, sweet lemon sponge cake, cream soda, and turkish delight accompany a delicate peat influence. Also, mashed malt, leather, tobacco, and sherry notes integrated with saltiness and pepper/ash.
- Finish
- Velvety and refined with salted milk chocolate and Maraschino cherries, honey, and gooseberries. A smooth finish with hints of ginger and lemon zest, where the gentle peat smoke endures. Medium long, sweet with a sour touch of grapefruit and bitterness from its pith, remaining smoky, spicy, and warm.
