Description

A revered single malt distillery in Campbeltown that has operated since 1828. It is today owned by J&A Mitchell & Co who produce three single malt styles there. These are its flagship two-and-half times distilled Springbank, a heavily-peated malt known as Longrow, and the triple-distilled Hazelburn. An iconic Italian importer and independent bottler, founded in 1968 by Silvano Samaroli. The company bottled this Springbank 1965 25 Year Old in 1990 as part of their famous 'Flowers' series.

Nose
Layers of juicy peaches, ripe apples, and stewed plums, accompanied by overripe orange for added depth. Classic mineral and waxy notes of Springbank are revealed, complemented by hints of extinguished candle and a delicate floral bouquet.
Palate
Initial hints of wax and smoky minerals are followed by a rich explosion of fruit—both fresh and stewed—with apples, plums, and peaches. Apricot jam and a light eucalyptus note add complexity, with hints of salt and sweet.
Finish
Not long, half fruity, half spicy, with some smokiness.
