Description

A revered single malt distillery in Campbeltown that has operated since 1828. It is today owned by J&A Mitchell & Co who produce three single malt styles there. These are its flagship two-and-half times distilled Springbank, a heavily-peated malt known as Longrow, and the triple-distilled Hazelburn. This particular 21 Year Old 'Renegade' expression was specially selected and bottled by Mark Reynier, former owner of Bruichladdich distillery. It was matured for 13 years at Springbank and then moved to the warehouses at Bruichladdich for the remaining 8 years of maturation, imparting additional maritime influences. It is a single cask bottling from cask #118.
