Description

A stately old grain whisky from Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular series, drawn from a single refill barrel laid down back in 1987. After 35 years of maturation, it's developed layers of creamy vanilla, buttery pastry, and gentle nutty sweetness. A beautiful reminder of just how elegant mature grain whisky can be.

Vanilla custard and coconut cream, followed by buttered brioche, poached pear, and a soft dusting of icing sugar. Sweet caramel leads, rounded and inviting, followed by the soft sheen of aged oak.

Smooth and mellow with white chocolate, macadamia, and almond flake, balanced by ripe peach and tinned lychee. Silky and fluid, with toasted nuts, bourbon sweetness, muscovado, and maple syrup.
