Description

The oldest operational distillery in Speyside and a picturesque site located in the town of Keith. Founded in 1786, it is today part of the Chivas Brothers division of Pernod Ricard and makes important contributions to the company's blends as well as its own single malt brand. Nose
The nose is quite well-sherried and full. Notes of cut herbs and mixed fruits. Juicy esters develops with notes of butterscotch and banoffee pie. The smoke plumes gentle with rubbed petals and sherried raisins.
Palate
The palate is of good-body with some notes of sultanas and a good cereal sweetness with solid barley sugars. There are good charred oak notes with a heavy smoke.
Finish
The finish is long and developing with wood smoke rising.
