Description

This Strathisla 13 Year Old is part of the Distillery Reserve Collection, a series of special edition cask strength offerings from Chivas-owned brands, often only available at the distillery or through select UK retailers. Distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2019, this single malt was finished in first-fill Sherry butts. Strathisla is the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands, located in the Speyside region, and is a key component of Chivas Regal blends.

Nose
Sweet summer berries, chocolate and hints of dark coffee. Oak wood, cinnamon spice and orchard fruit also appear, giving it a lovely robust, varied aroma.
Palate
Slightly darker than the nose, with more dried fruits and sherry spice. Sweet notes of fruits, caramel and oak wood give it a well rounded flavour profile. More summer berries appear, alongside honey and some slightly earthy notes.
Finish
Strong, with lots of dried fruit and sherry notes.
