Nose
Pineapple aromas give way to spiced apple and floral notes. Sweet wafts of maple and honey, syrupy with bold malt, and green, toasted woodchips. Almond pastries, caramel, a hint of sandalwood.
Palate
Tropical fruit flavours are balanced by cracked black pepper. Creamy butterscotch balances rich, spicy barley, a hint of aromatic cedar balances smooth vanilla, crisp pear, anise. Honeyed barley and subtle peppery hints, with cooked apple developing later on.
Finish
A full and long finish with mixed nuts and spice. Lemon peel and just a hint of vegetal oak alongside sweet vanilla malt, biscuity sugar, and cakey spice. Subtly minty, still packed with vanilla.
