Description

This is a blend of straight whiskies, including 95/5 and 51/49 rye mashbills from MGP in Indiana, and four different bourbon mashbills from Indiana and Kentucky. The average age of the whiskey is 7.7 years. It was assembled in three different casks (re-used sherry, second-fill pinot noir, and second-fill American oak) and then vatted in another second-fill American oak cask. It was bottled on July 19, 2023, with minimal filtration. The blend yielded 222 total 750 mL bottles. This specific bottle is No. 120.

Deep aromas of cigar and tobacco leaf and dried stone fruits intermingle with herbs and spices. Rich notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak mingle with hints of dried fruit, spice, and a subtle smokiness.
Palate
Very rich and decadent in texture. Flavors of honey, butterscotch, and ripe berries are balanced by spicy undertones of cinnamon and black pepper, with a touch of dark chocolate and espresso adding complexity. More herbs; mint, and tarragon, mix with woody notes of cedar and oak.
Finish
Long and satisfying, with lingering notes of oak, spice, and a hint of smokiness.
