Nose
Panforte (Italian Christmas dessert) and blackberry ice cream. Soft and warm, broad and rounded. Buttery pastry and shortbread. Date molasses. A milkshake-like aroma with chocolate, banana, and caramel. Bush honey, fresh coconut. Waxy. Dried mango and passion fruit stand out. Malted chocolate powder (like Ovalteenies). Black pepper and fresh beans.
Palate
Plum blossoms, raisins, orange zest, baked apples. Beautiful texture, becoming quite thick. Apricots and coconut. Very dark caramel flavor. Shortbread and a hint of rye bread. Fine tannins.
Finish
Grapefruit peel. Soft and expansive, filling the palate. Confectionery notes, cola, white chocolate, and coconut flower sugar. Fairly herbal – bay leaf. Hazelnut. The tropical notes remain, especially ripe mango. Stewed pears and warm cherries. The texture is incredibly long, beautifully coating the entire palate.
