Nose
Buttery; caramelised figs, some creamy sherry notes. Very soft and velvety. Fresh apples and baked apples, intertwined with the subtle sweetness of pear. Hints of oak and honey emerge, complemented by a delicate biscuit undertone and a touch of warming spice. Rum and raisins, green apples, melon.
Palate
Burnt caramel, quite meaty. Savoury almost but counterbalanced with sweetness, like caramelised onions cooked on the BBQ with balsamic. Smooth entry, medium bodied. Rich flavours of honey and cream are immediately apparent, followed by the smoothness of vanilla and butter. Apple notes carry through, adding a fruity dimension. Fruity and vanilla and caramel notes. More of melons, green apples and rum and raisins, added on with vanilla.
Finish
A drying finish with gentle spice and cinnamon sugar; a long, slow gradual fade. Medium-long, leaving a lasting impression. Pleasant tannic oak presence and a peppery spice that lingers, providing a somewhat dry and warming sensation. Long fruity finish with some spices. Slightly sweet and spicy.
