Nose
Delightfully soft and friendly, with a maritime twist, grass, eucalyptus, soft peat, earthy notes of putty and licorice, marzipan, oranges, and figs. Faintly maritime, sea breezes, rockpools, oyster shells, earthy, mineral base with a hint of sphagnum moss.
Palate
Savoury and pungent, orange, grass, wet stones, mossy peat, smoke (peat and wood), pepper. Very smooth, mouth-filling and creamy, sweet at first, salty midpalate, mineral effect, abundant peppery spice. Lightly drying overall.
Finish
Long, lingering and warming, with pepper, orange, fig, eucalyptus, liquorice and peat. Lengthy, plenty of Talisker spiciness, with a Sichuan-pepper mouth-cooling effect.
