Description

Tamdhu's 12-year-old expression, launched in 2018, replaces the previous 10-year distillery single malt whisky. It is 100% matured for a full 12 years in first fill and refill American and European Oloroso sherry casks from the cooperages of Jerez, in Spain's 'sherry triangle'. This results in a complex and rich single malt whisky with flavours of cinnamon, dried fruit, banana, and classic sherry oak depth. The whisky is bottled at 43% ABV and is of natural colour.

Palate
Silky texture coating the mouth with banana, berry jam, malt biscuit, classic sherry oak depth, creamy toffee, banoffee pie, malty cereals, shortbread, red berry fruits, jam, cinnamon rock, Scottish tablet, toffee-nut latte, and juicy ripe tropical fruits like peach and apricot.
Finish
Pleasantly long and balanced with ground spice, dried fruit, soft Scottish tablet, a lingering hint of spice, and finally unveiling the merest wisp of peat smoke.
