Nose
Elegantly spiced oak, with warming vanilla and freshly-shelled nuts. Apricots & vanilla cream, with sweet nectarine and white peach in syrup. Spun brown sugar toffee, white pepper, clove and ginger spice. A touch of orange zest, vanilla fudge and some fresh oak.
Palate
Summer berries and cream. A splash of water brings out warm biscuits, oak spice and candied orange. More syrupy sweet stone fruit - nectarine, peach and apricot. Moderate bitter and sour spice that slowly fades to brown sugar caramelized peaches with a squeeze of lemon on top and vanilla gelato then dark chocolate covered roasted pistachios followed by sour apples, sour cherries, and orange peel that transitions to cardamom, anise, and fresh roasted espresso beans.
Finish
The rich spiciness builds, then reveals sultanas, citrus zest and brown sugar. A long, rewarding farewell. Medium length with candied lemon peel, sour apple, dark chocolate covered espresso beans, ginger, cardamom, anise and light ash.
