Description

Tè Bheag Nan Eilean is a Blended Scotch Whisky from Pràban na Linne on the Isle of Skye. It is unchillfiltered and contains a high proportion of aged single malts, matured in sherry casks. The blend is known for its soft and balanced profile with sweet malt aromas, fine smoke, hints of honey, oat biscuits, a touch of sea salt, and subtle sherry nuances. It is described as having a round and full-bodied palate with harmonious sweet notes of grain and honey, combined with a fine, yet present smoky note. A hint of oak brings structure, while light spice notes and a trace of fruit provide depth. The finish is medium length with lingering sweetness and a peaty/smoky character that fades.

Nose
Soft and balanced with a beautiful balance of sweet malt aromas and fine smoke - underlying hints of honey, oat biscuits, a touch of sea salt, and subtle sherry nuances - a gentle, slightly maritime scent typical of the coastal regions.

Finish
Medium length. Fortunately, the bitterness disappears fairly quickly, and there is a lingering sweetness that carries you through to the end. There is no real resurgence of any of the original flavours though, and the peat/smoke disappears fairly quickly (unlike peated single malts, where they linger longer).
