Nose
A deep and robust maltiness with a gentle Highland peat smoke tang, fading to sweeter fruitier notes of apples, pears, and heavy honey maturity. Aromas of floral sweet honey, vanilla fudge, milk chocolate, toffee apple, and a distinct bittersweet, earthy, biscuity maltiness with a gentle wisp of peat smoke.
Palate
Light and sweet in texture, with distinct and bolder flavors. Sweet and malty upfront with a well-integrated level of bittersweet ashy smokiness. Starts with light peat smoke and malty sweetness, transitioning to a grainy note, with honey, young sweet grain, barley malt, sweet porridge, stewed plums, and golden syrup.
Finish
A little short, but more peaty and ashy than the nose and palate. The smoke grows and expands, adding a peppery heat and increasing ash-like dryness, especially after the sweet and malty notes fade.
