Description
Situated in an industrial estate, the Teaninich distillery produces 9.8 million litres of spirit a year and is a vital component of several Johnnie Walker blends. The first distillery north of Inverness to have electric lighting, Teaninich was also the first malt whisky distillery in Scotland to install a mash filter press instead of a mash tun. This Teaninich 17 Year Old is an official bottling, distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2017 as part of the Diageo Special Releases series, celebrating the distillery's 200th anniversary. It was matured in refill American oak hogsheads and sherry butts.
