The citrus and orange marmalade make this feel welcoming, while ginger, toffee and vanilla bring a richer edge. I like the contrast with the bitter citrus notes, which keeps the fruit from reading as simply sweet. Pepper and malt carry through the medium-long finish, with beeswax and Seville orange giving it a distinct close. There’s plenty to explore here, though the bitterness may not suit every preference.

Fruit and toffee get plenty of room, but ginger and bitter citrus stop things getting too cosy. The peppery, malty finish earns its points; 55.8% alone wouldn't do that.

The orange marmalade and citrus give this a bright, easy-to-follow fruit character. The palate sounds rich, though that slight bitter citrus note may make it less smooth than a purely sweet-fruited dram.
